This privacy policy applies to the Aegis mobile app (io.eranya.aegis) published by Eranya Digital ("we", "us"). Aegis — APK security scanner for Android: check apps before you install them and audit app permissions.

This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and the choices you have. By using Aegis you agree to this policy.

Information We Collect

Aegis does not require an account and does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or contacts.

Beyond the device permissions described below, Aegis collects no analytics, advertising, or diagnostic data.

Device Permissions

Aegis requests the following permissions, and only for the reasons stated:

• Query installed apps: Required to audit the apps installed on your device and report on their permissions. The audit runs on your device.
• Install packages: Lets Aegis hand a scanned APK to the Android installer after you approve it.
• Notifications: Notifies you when a scan finishes.

Scans run on your device

Aegis analyzes APK files and installed apps locally. Scan results are stored only on your device. If a future version checks file signatures against an online threat database, only cryptographic hashes of APK files — never your personal files or data — would be sent, and this policy will be updated first.

How We Use Your Information

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your settings and app data are stored only on your device and are removed when you uninstall the app.

Data transmitted by the app uses encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).

Children's Privacy

Aegis is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
