Introduction
This privacy policy applies to the Salmo mobile app (io.eranya.salmo) published by Eranya Digital ("we", "us"). Salmo — A snippet keyboard for iOS and Android: insert pre-written, categorized text into any chat without leaving the conversation.
This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and the choices you have. By using Salmo you agree to this policy.
Information We Collect
Account information
Salmo offers optional accounts so your data can sync across devices. You can sign in with: Email & password, Google Sign-In, Anonymous (guest). When you create an account we store:
- Account identifiers (email address, user ID)
Diagnostics and usage data
- Crash reports: device model, OS version, and technical stack traces when the app crashes, so we can fix bugs. Crash reports do not include your personal content.
Advertising data
The free version of Salmo shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising ID) to serve and measure ads. On iOS, we ask for your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any cross-app tracking; if you decline, you still get ads, just less personalized ones. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings.
Device Permissions
Salmo requests the following permissions, and only for the reasons stated:
- Keyboard (input method): Salmo registers as a keyboard so you can insert your snippets into other apps.
- Vibration: Haptic feedback when you tap keys or insert a snippet.
The Salmo keyboard does not log what you type
Salmo is a snippet picker, not a typing keyboard: it inserts text you previously saved. It does not record, store, or transmit keystrokes, message contents, passwords, or anything else you type in other apps. The only text Salmo handles is the snippets you create inside the Salmo app, and those are stored on your device.
How We Use Your Information

- To fix bugs and improve stability and performance
- To show ads that keep the free version of the app free

Crash and diagnostic data is retained by Firebase for up to 90 days.
