Privacy Policy

Introduction

This privacy policy applies to the Numice mobile app (io.eranya.numice) published by Eranya Digital ("we", "us"). Numice — Real-time microphone processing and recording: clean up, shape, and capture your voice with an on-device audio engine.

This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and the choices you have. By using Numice you agree to this policy.

Information We Collect

Numice does not require an account and does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or contacts.

Beyond the device permissions described below, Numice collects no analytics, advertising, or diagnostic data.

Device Permissions

Numice requests the following permissions, and only for the reasons stated:

• Microphone: Numice's entire purpose: it processes your microphone signal live and records the processed result when you ask it to. The audio is handled in memory by a native engine running on your device.
• Foreground service (Android): Keeps the audio engine running when you switch away from the app, so processing does not stop mid-sentence.
• Notifications: Shows the ongoing notification Android requires while that background audio service is running.

Numice cannot send your audio anywhere — by design

Numice does not request internet access. On Android the app declares no INTERNET permission at all, and on iOS it links no networking library, so there is no route by which recordings, settings, or anything else could be transmitted. There is no account, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no third-party SDK inside the app. We intend to keep it that way: if a future version ever needs network access, this page will be updated before that version ships.

Your recordings stay on your device

Live audio is processed in memory by a native engine and discarded as it plays. When you use the recorder, Numice writes a WAV file into the app's own private storage, where other apps cannot read it. Delete recordings inside the app, or uninstall Numice to remove all of them along with your presets and settings. A recording leaves your device only if you deliberately send it somewhere yourself using your device's share sheet.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your settings and app data are stored only on your device and are removed when you uninstall the app.

Security

Data transmitted by the app uses encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).

Children's Privacy

Numice is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
